IF Ricky G and Matt Lawton can come back healthy, I see Ricky G putting up better numbers than Travis this past season as our third baseman, (especially if Ricky G hits the weight room).

And if Matt Lawton had a severly injured arm this past season, then he had a great season afterall, and will only be better next year!

If we sign Karim Garcia, and have him for the full season instead of only two months...

And our Catcher's offensive output will be improved, simply because the numbers were to low to be replicated again.

If Thome re-signs, our biggest question mark could be is Coco Crisp a true lead-off player? And where will that leave Bradley?

It appears that we have many positions that should improve next season, if only Thome will stay.

Simply put Alex there are many aspects of the Tribe that can only get better. I still don't know about Ricky at 3rd. I'm not sure about Ricky anywhere? That injury sounds pretty serious. We are stuck with him for 2 more years so it would be nice if he could help the team out.

Ricky is not my first choice, but Ricky avoided reality, and others let him, by pretending to be a middle infielder when he built more like a third baseman, except he has no power-gasp!

The guy needed a reality check a couple of years ago, either hit for power, or have more of a speed game. He sort of has neither, but can be steady defensively. But at a "soft" 6ft 3'', he is not built to take the kind of diving required of the middle infield positions.

If Rickey has the serious back/neck injury we've been led to believe he has, how can he field any of the infield positions? Even if we give him the benefit of the doubt this year, I don't think he can recover from the serious injury he has suffered without a decline to his range of motion. I'll be very surprised if Rickey can come back.

Thome isn't going to sign with the Tribe. We are already hearing rumors that if St. Louis were to make an offer, that he would like to play for them. The Tribe, on the other hand is only in interested in offering just under what they think he's worth on the open market. That way they can say, "Look how hard we tried, but we just couldn't compete with the Phillies." The Tribe is in a cost cutting move and the ownership has forgotten about all the years when the Tribe drew 700,000 fans.
